Early Morning Care at Aquinas Montessori School
Our Early Morning Care program begins at 7:30 AM at the Aquinas Montessori School Mount Vernon Campus in Alexandria, VA, providing a calm and engaging environment for children whose families need an early drop-off option. During this peaceful start to the day, children may enjoy activities such as exploring educational toys, reading, or chatting with our caring staff. Some children choose to bring their breakfast and eat in a relaxed, welcoming space.
Please note: Early Morning Care is available only at our Mount Vernon location in Alexandria, Virginia and is not offered at our Old Town campus. Families from Fairfax County, Fort Hunt, and Belle Haven often choose this option for its convenience.
After School Care at Aquinas and Old Town Montessori Schools
Our After Care program offers a nurturing, enriching environment for children after the school day ends at 3:00 PM. Available at both Aquinas Montessori School in Mount Vernon and Old Town Montessori School in Alexandria’s historic Old Town, this extended care option supports working families with coverage available until 6:00 PM.
Children participate in a variety of creative, purposeful activities designed to promote exploration and connection. They may enjoy time on the playground, play group games, create art and music, read independently or with friends, and work on puzzles or other hands-on learning projects. The program encourages grace and courtesy, collaboration, and the joyful sharing of daily discoveries.
Our Montessori After Care in Alexandria, VA is designed with the same Montessori principles that guide our school day, helping children ages 2.5–12 end their day in a supportive, balanced environment.
