Admission Process

Aquinas and Old Town Montessori Schools use a rolling admission process that allows students to join our Montessori schools in Alexandria as spaces become available throughout the year. We have limited spaces available for the 2025–2026 school year in Alexandria, VA, and we are accepting applications for the 2026–2027 school year.


At Aquinas Montessori (Mount Vernon campus) and Old Town Montessori (Columbus Street campus), we believe that the preschool and school years are a critical stage of cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, and we are dedicated and committed to the children and to the philosophy of Maria Montessori. We strive to nurture each child’s development by providing:

  • Optimal class sizes where students work at their own pace and level
  • Teachers dedicated to authentic AMI Montessori practice

In operation for over 60 years, our Montessori schools in Alexandria, Virginia have consistently produced highly confident, self-motivated learners who are well prepared for their middle school years and beyond. We also are happy to set up Zoom and phone calls.  We can share information about our campuses and programs, answer all of your questions, and share pictures of our facilities and children engaged in their activities at school.
